WEEKEND SHENANIGANS 2.0
Yesterday I shared about our amazing weekend from Morgan joining in on the fun, Marsh Harbour and now Elbow Cay. Because there was SO much to share I decided to break it up into two parts. Now that we are on Elbow Cay – We can without a doubt say that this is our favorite spot. Our boat is in slip 4A in Sea Spray Resort and Marina. The marina has gone through a major renovation. The services and amenities are 10/10. Today I’ll share the really fun stuff…what/where we ate here on Elbow Cay, and how we spent the days.

First stop on Elbow Cay once BB got tied down, and a quick wash we rented golf carts to get around the island. Elbow Cay cart rentals was so easy. We made reservations in advance so that 90% of paper work was complete upon arrival. All we needed to provide was license and credit card – off we went. Walking and bike riding is also a great way to get around. A golf cart just makes getting around more enjoyable, faster. Hardest part of driving on the island? Remembering to stay to the left…..
1st Stop:
Firefly Sunset Resort!!! Beautiful views over looking the Sea of Abaco. They have beautiful accommodations and a fantastic restaurant. We are not staying there- Lunch & drinks a must. A little windier than usual but that did not stop us from enjoying the afternoon. Before heading back to the boat – we took the golf carts for a cruise around the island.

2nd – 3rd Stop:
Funny thing happened. We did not get very far when we stumbled upon this little gem. Of course we had to stop for a drink or 2 and enjoy the view. Even thought the clouds were heading our way – still breathe taking being up so high and seeing out at the water. From there our tour took us back to BB for spaghetti dinner and a chilling on the boat. Yup, Morgan & I slept on BB! The Abaco Inn was full. We will be staying in a cute little cottage for 2 nights that over looking the beautiful blue waters. ( See the theme/ Bb?
The weekend here in the Abaco’s is like any weekend on the beach except Bahamian style. Soaking up the sun, a fresh breezy while sipping on tropical drinks. Up next- Monday…..
Like any Monday ~ It starts with coffee and a view. Just a view of a marina instead of watching the morning news.

Monday’s adventure was easy – A golf cart ride around the island (again) – I see a pattern. Then to catch some sun, read a book and watch the waves. With a few Pina Colada’s. I’d say that a great way to start the week. Parker and Ryan went FISHING. To end a really easy day – we at dinner at The Abaco Inn Restaurant. It has the perfect setting that’s over looks the BB Water on all sides & listening to the waves crash against the rocks. LOVED IT. The food was excellent.
Tuesday’s adventure will be, Golf cart ride around Island. We hope to find this little coffee shop that everyone has been talking about Sea Biscuit Bakery & Co. Such a cute name – Then we are going to spend the day on Tahiti Beach with a visit or 2 to the walk up “Rum Barge” called THIRSTY CUDA. Apparently it’s the best bar ever… TBC.
